England and India are set to battle it out in a five-match Test series starting August 4. Team India, who reached the ICC World Test Championship final (2019-21), will kick start its new chapter in the 2021-23 cycle. England's veteran pacer James Anderson has claimed 617 Test scalps at a sound average of 26.27. Interestingly, Anderson is the most successful pacer in Test cricket. He is also the only pacer with more than 600-plus wickets in the format. Currently, the likes of spinners Muttiah Muralitharan, Shane Warne, and Anil Kumble hold the record for most Test wickets in the game. In the Test series against India, Anderson can get past former India legend Kumble, who claimed 619 Test scalps. With this, Anderson can become the third-highest wicket-taker in the longest format.
