Mumbai Indians is the most successful and strongest teams in the cash-lucrative tournament. During the initial seasons of IPL, the franchise really struggled to get going. However, since the appointment of Rohit Sharma as captain, the team has been unstoppable, and this season hasn't been any different. Let's take a look at 4 reasons which have led to their success in recent years.

1. IDENTIFICATION OF THE RIGHT GROUP OF PLAYERS

Though MI are the most successful team in the tournament's history, they've usually been a slow starter. However, this season, MI have been consistent throughout the tournament. Signings of pacers Trent Boult and James Pattinson have been a blessing for the three-time champions and kudos to the management for recognizing the right group of players. Moreover, they also have a good bench of overseas players like Nathan Coulter-Nile, Chris Lynn, and Mitchell McClenaghan.
