Celtic face the toughest of tests in Rome this week, but Neil Lennon believes his side have the quality and confidence to get a positive result against Lazio

We'll Go, We'll See And Hopefully We'll Conquer

CELTIC head out to Rome today (Wednesday) to take on Lazio in the second part of their Europa League double-header, buoyed not only by the 2-1 win over the Italian side two weeks ago but also with their recent run of domestic form.

After scoring 12 goals in three Premiership matches, the Hoops hit five against Hibernian at Hampden on Saturday to win their League Cup semi-final and set up a final showdown with Rangers next month.

Not surprisingly, Neil Lennon is delighted with his team’s form and believes that the confidence generated by it could pay dividends in the Stadio Olimpico tomorrow night.

Speaking to the View, the Celtic manager said: “What a game to look forward to. We know what a huge incentive it is to go to Rome and get a result, and off the back of the semi-final win and the feel-good factor, psychologically, the players will all be in a good place.

“They’ll all be wanting to play because when you’re playing well, scoring goals and playing the kind of football they are producing, you just want to keep going. You don’t want to train, you just want to get out there and play again.

“It’s a titanic game ahead of us, we know the caliber of opposition we’ve got on Thursday night in Lazio, but it’s not beyond us.”
