CALLUM McGregor has made history on many occasions with Celtic, and the midfielder is confident he and his Scotland team-mates can do the same for their country tomorrow night (November 12) by defeating Serbia and securing qualification for the Euros next summer.
McGregor was only five-years-old the last time Scotland played in a major tournament, but he is no stranger to rewriting history in the Hoops and believes the Scotland team can do the same in Belgrade.
After defeating Israeli in a penalty shoot-out last month, Scotland find themselves just one game away from qualification.
McGregor is relishing the pressure of the occasion, and said that, withthe form Scotland have shown under Steve Clarke, he is confident they could get the job done.
“I’m looking forward to the game,” McGregor said. “It’s a huge game for the country. As a footballer, you’re desperate to play in these kind of games. These are the kind of games that can define you. I’m really excited to play in it and everyone’s looking for a positive result.
“We’ve managed to get everyone behind us with the performances we’ve put in. We’re eight games unbeaten so the squad are on good form and we have a way of playing now with the manager having us all very well-drilled.
