OPTICAL EVO-LUTION

Dave Barham peers through the new KonusPro Evo 3-12x50 scope, a real hunter’s optic
OPTICAL EVO-LUTION

I recently reviewed the rather splendid Kral Puncher Pro 500 in our sister magazine, Air Gunner, and sitting atop of that rifle was this new KonusPro Evo scope, which I think is well-deserving of its own in-depth review here.

TRIPLE TURRETS

This scope features a three-turret set-up with elevation on top, windage on the right and the illuminated reticle/parallax adjustment turret on the left; the former two being housed under removable, screw-fit dust caps.

As you would expect, the action of these turrets is positive and firm, but not stiff when in use, and each ‘click’ represents 1/10 mil.

The illuminated reticle ring, which is housed on the outside of the left-hand turret, is very positive in action and you simply can’t turn it by accident. It’s quite stiff to turn, and each of the five brightness levels for both the red and blue IR require firm, yet positive, clicks in order to increase or decrease the intensity levels.
