When you think it is over, it opens a door most unexpectedly!
It was in 1980 that I decided to invest in a plot of land in Sastri Nagar, an upper middle-class area in Chennai where I was living in a rented home. With a dream of building a house of my own, I had identified a plot of land and paid a non-refundable deposit of Rs. 10,000 to the owner of the plot. The understanding was that if I am not able to pay the full amount before a particular date I would forfeit the deposit.

Dancer, choreographer and teacher of Bharatanatyam, Smt. Revathi Ramachandran's repertoire has taken her to stages PAN India, Europe and America. She is the only exponent of 'Sudha Nrittam', an ancient temple dance revived by her Guru Mangudi Dorairaja Iyer. She has been the recipient of many awards and accolades including the prestigious Kalaimamani award.Apart from her cultural achievements, this master's degree holder in Economics, has also captained the Tamil Nadu Women's' Basketball team in early 80s.
