It's so easy to fall into the rut of negative patterns. But can we replace these with healthy ones? Of course, we can!

How To Replace Unhealthy Patterns?

At times, following healthy patterns becomes a major challenge for many of us since we have very strong ingrained unhealthy patterns. The unhealthy patterns ingrained in the subconscious mind make the conscious mind weak so that it cannot catch up with the healthy patterns.

It is not that the conscious mind is not aware that certain patterns are not good for health. But the unhealthy patterns which are ingrained very deep in the subconscious mind make the conscious mind run behind temporary pleasures, which in turn will make the unhealthy patterns even stronger. It is a vicious cycle, which perpetuates itself and makes things worse.

So, to follow healthy patterns, first we must work on the unhealthy patterns. And obviously, it cannot be a one-time effort. According to Charles Duhigg, there are three things in the background which make the unhealthy patterns very strong; these are 'Trigger, Routine and Reward'. To break the unhealthy patterns, first we need to identify the Trigger, Routine and Reward. Once we identify them, we need to replace the Routine and Reward to break the unhealthy patterns. It may be a very slow process. Little by little, step by step, we need to erase those patterns. But results are guaranteed.

The solution is in the 3Rs!
