Rage against the machines in a relentless roguelite
Jon Bailes
Scourgebringer

This isn't just a game, it's a kind of T high-intensity interval training for the thumbs. Each screen in this roguelite action game hosts a burst of violence that flares instantly and fades equally quickly, all in a matter of seconds. Then you stop, take a breath, and move on to the next. Repeat until your character, Kyhra, runs out of energy.

Most rooms cough up two waves of enemies robots, insects, and beasts that gob out strings of bullets or charge towards the tiny protagonist. Fortunately, she's got the agility, aggression, and arsenal to pop them out of existence. At first, Kyhra feels like Madeline in Celeste, a platform star with a few mid-air tricks. But you soon realize she has an even more casual relationship with gravity, as she zips between floating targets, hacking them down so fast her feet don't touch the floor.
