A lighthearted puzzle adventure told brick by brick
Lego Builder's Journey

Lego as a company is always looking for creative ways for players to engage with its blocks. When it comes to video games, this usually means taking blockbuster IPS and transporting them into the Lego universe, complete with bombastic action and cheeky humour. These huge games take place across multiple worlds with hundreds of characters.

But as epic as the company's adaptations of Star Wars, Batman, and Marvel are, developer Light Brick Studio has taken the Danish toy in a new direction. Lego Builder's Journey isn't an exploration of a brick-built world based on your favourite works of fiction but a more honest and earnest interpretation of the iconic plastic bricks.

There's a simplicity to Builder's Journey. Its puzzles are set on beautiful miniature brick-based dioramas. The goal of each level is simple: to help your character cross from one side of the diorama to the other using the bricks provided. It's all about finding creative solutions - for example, you'll need to build a bridge to cross a stream or a canyon, or construct something to help your character climb rocky cliffs and trees. Some levels ask you to complete your model in a specific way, but most of the time you're free to approach the block-building problems however you like. As long as the bricks click together, there are no wrong answers, and when a puzzle is complete, the chunky characters will use your new structure to hop to the other side of the miniature.
