The board is played on two levels, with the moles moving around on the bottom and molehills being built on the top. At the start of each round, five-movement cards per player are drawn and placed face-up on the table. Players take turns drafting one card at a time until everyone has four. The remaining cards are discarded. Each player then secretly stacks their four cards in the order they wish to play them, taking turns revealing one card and performing that movement with their mole until everyone has revealed all four movement cards.
