More than Forty years ago in the Mpresent day Saifai , in the district town of Etawah, central Uttar Pradesh, there was a growing phenomenon of Indian socialist movement.
The gentleman named Mulayam who had become famous for his combative street politics against the Nehruvian Congress regime, which had acquired the same reputation which Narendra Modi government has today...Anti-farmer, poor and labourer.
In the toil and tumult of socialist movement, the pied piper became father of a son. The son would grow up in the heat and dust of granary of socialism. Father mostly away on campaign trails from village to village, the son was left alone in the company of village farm, orchards, soil and forests to imbibe the virtue and vice of life.
He was called Tipu by elders before rechristening himself Akhilesh in the primary school of Etawah.
Then and now, the same coy boy in 43rd years of his life has become the heartthrob of a generation. In his debut tenure as the youngest Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, India's largest province, he is the most popular leader with people's approval rating much higher than Prime Minister Modi and any other leaders, including his own father and mentor, patriarch Mulayam.
Socialist Factor in its 2015 December issue had chosen British Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn as the Person of the Year. Corbyn emergence was a whiff of fresh air to the rusty politics of New Labour going down the drain under Dracula influence of war monger Tony Blair. Jeremy has revived the sagging confidence of working class Britons with his good conduct, his truthfulness, his faithfulness, his honesty , his etiquette and his behaviour towards the suffering masses.
Akhilesh is almost 25 years younger than Corbyn. Age wonder for political pond in a sea-size country like India!
Akhilesh today is synonymous with good conduct, truthfulness, faithfulness, trust, honesty and integrity in public life. Even his dreaded enemies don't doubt his intention.He is against social discrimination and communal violence.
