Mega Mom
Parents World|Issue 71

Say what you want about Megan Fox, but when it comes to motherhood, she has some serious parenting chops.

Mega Mom
running down the right side of Megan Denise Fox’s back are the words “And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music”, a quote by German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. It is a statement that reflects what the Hollywood actress believes in – that one should always live their life without fear of judgement because their actions would not always make sense to people who do not understand the circumstances.

Sporting multiple skin art and a reputation in Tinseltown as a modern-day female sex symbol, Megan may not immediately come across as being the archetypical mother figure and conventional parent. But as with many celebrities who straddle the ever-rotating carousel of public and private spheres, there is more than meets the eye when it comes to this 32-year-old stunner.

Rebel Mama

Decked in a denim miniskirt and cropped tank top revealing an excessive amount of midriff and leaning over the open hood of Shia LaBeouf’s car, Megan’s defining moment in her career in showbiz came in her role as Mikaela Banes in the blockbuster action film Transformers in 2007. In many ways, this overtly sexualised role, along with the many similar ones she was subsequently casted in, embodies both everything Megan is and is not.

Far from shunning away from the movie industry’s proclivity for using sexuality as a marketing tool, Megan embraces it as being part of who she is while ensuring that her sexpot image does not define who she is. "I enjoy it and embrace it,” she shared with Loaded Magazine. “I think it's actually part of my personality. Part of my essence and my being is that sort of pin-up image and I enjoy it because I know I'm not a stupid girl and I don't have to solely rely on that. I'm aware that being clever and a pin-up makes me dangerous and I enjoy that."
