CHARTING A NEW PATH WITH FLAGSHIP PROGRAM ‘STREAM’
WADSWORTH ELEMENTARY

Step inside Wadsworth Elementary, and you will find a challenging learning environment that inspires innovation and excellence in Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math, which maximizes individual potential and ensures students are well-equipped to meet the challenges of the careers in their future. Our school is home to approximately 1,000 students and 115 faculty and staff. Wadsworth is deeply rooted in the community where we celebrate diversity, individuality, and nurturing relationships. We inspire each other to learn and grow in a safe environment to reach our full potential.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE FUTURE

Our classroom to careers flagship program at Wadsworth is STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, the Arts, and Math), and we offer enrichment opportunities and career exploration for students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade in each of these areas. STREAM is a place where children can code a robot, design and build a bridge, create a green screen video on the solar system all while connecting to real world experiences. The classroom motto is “Hands On… Minds On!” where everyone can explore with their own voice and choice. STREAM gives our students the opportunity for exploration in science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and math for future pathway choices. Within that exploration, we strive to motivate students to be successful academically and to graduate from high school well prepared to take the next step of higher education or to enter into a career. Henry Ford once said, “one of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to find he can do what he was afraid he couldn’t do.” Through career exploration opportunities at Wadworth, our students are encouraged to dream, explore, and discover.
