Ashram underpass sees light of day, to ease woes

The Delhi government on Sunday officially opened the underpass at the Ashram intersection, making commuting between Nizamuddin and New Friends Colony stress-free.

The relief, however, is partial till the construction of the extension of the Ashram flyover towards the DND flyway is complete. Starting in December 2019, the underpass missed eight deadlines causing regular traffic snarls at one of the busiest traffic intersections in the city. Officials said the underpass is one of the critical infrastructure projects toward making the commuting Nizamuddin and Badarpur on Mathura Road signal free.
