Mumbai: Even as the biker, Aditya Desai, died in hospital on Tuesday morning, Gamdevi police arrested Dr. Rehan Rasheed (27) only at night, after people gathered at the police station demanding action against him.
“The doctor is in our custody,” said zonal deputy commissioner of police Yogesh Kumar, adding that they have taken his blood sample to check if he was drunk at the time of the accident.
Police constable Sachin Ugale said the accident took place at 1.55 am on Monday when Desai was returning to his Gamdevi home from work on his bike.
