India extends $500m credit line to Sri Lanka

 Looking to further step up “critical support” for Sri Lanka, which is battling an acute shortage of foreign exchange, India has offered a new line of credit (LoC) of $500 million to the island neighbour for purchase of petroleum products.

To ‘correct’ the world’s misconceptions, Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on Tuesday promised human rights reforms and justice for people missing from the 3-decade-long civil war with LTTE that claimed at least 1,00,000 lives
