Nashik: Vegetable supply to Mumbai from Nashik has been severely hit due to the enforcement of 12 days of strict restrictions by the Nashik district administration. Nashik, which is an agricultural hub, is known as the “Kitchen of Mumbai”.

The Nashik Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC), which is the largest wholesale vegetable market in Nashik city, provides around 70% of the vegetables auctioned to Mumbai and suburbs. The APMCs in Nashik are shut due to the restrictions.
