Fresh from grabbing 5/71 in Bengal's first innings, Tanay scored a 103-ball 52 batting at No 9, while Ravi remained unbeaten on 81 from 196 balls.
Ravi, who claimed 3/48 in Bengal's 242 on day one, steadied Hyderabad as they resumed at 15 for two and were soon reduced to a sorry 70/7. He added 109 runs for the eighth wicket with Tanay.
Ravi smashed two sixes and six fours, while Tanay hit seven fours as Bengal struggled to break the partnership.
Manoj Tiwary, who returned to action after his foray into politics, finally broke the partnership with his part-time spin.
Tanay edged to keeper Abhishek Porel and it was a matter of time before Hyderabad folded up in 80 overs.
