Daily Testing Around 30k, Experts Call For Ramp Up To Prevent Spread

: The daily testing rate for Covid-19 is currently around 30,000mark, having dropped from nearly 2 lakh tests a day during the peak of the second wave.

HyderabadThe average testing in the state over the past week was around 27,000 tests per day with a positivity rate under one per cent.

However, with the emergence of the new Omicron variant of the virus, experts have pointed out the need to ramp up testing immediately so as to ensure that cases do not go unrecorded.
