What Happened To Nodeep Before Meena Harris Tweet?

Later in the month, after a clash between industrial security personnel and those protesting to demand their wages in the NCR city, some of the workers were booked. One name common to both stands out today — Nodeep Kaur.

Nodeep (23) has been in prison since January 12, named in three FIRs under charges that include extortion and attempt to murder. The cases have drawn intense social media scrutiny after US vice-president Kamala Harris’s niece Meena Harris tweeted on February 6 that Nodeep “was arrested, tortured & sexually assaulted in police custody”.
