New Delhi: With the city recording around 25,000 cases every day, the weekend curfew came into effect for the second time this month from 10pm on Friday. Earlier in the day, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said the Delhi government would decrease restrictions if Covid-19 cases decreased.
During the weekend curfew, only those engaged in providing essential services are exempted from the movement restrictions. While most individuals in the exempted category can produce government-issued identity cards, many others engaged in essential services like shops dealing in food items and medicines, petrol pumps and cold storages will have to show e-passes issued by the government.
