New Delhi: A multi-layer security apparatus has been put in place by Delhi Police for the Republic Day celebrations. Police commissioner Rakesh Asthana on Sunday said 27,723 personnel were deployed in the city, including 71 DCPs, 213 ACPs and 753 inspectors, for the parade. They would be assisted by 65 companies of Central Armed Police Forces.
