Markets show the way in vaccine cover, RWAs seek better planning

While market associations are making their best efforts in getting all shopkeepers and their employees vaccinated and even obtaining certificates from the district administration, RWAs of non-gated societies claim to be facing difficulties due to non-cooperation from some of the residents.

New Delhi: Traders’ associations of Lajpat Nagar, Sarojini Nagar, etc, have placed banners claiming that all shopkeepers and staff in the markets are fully vaccinated. Vaccination certificates have also been pasted outside the shops.

Ashwani Marwah, secretary of Lajpat Nagar Traders’ Association, said that public awareness posters have been placed at several places so that customers feel safe while visiting the market. “Earlier this month, we got Covid vaccination camps arranged. The banners installed in Central Market request visitors to wear masks all the time and maintain social distancing,” stated Marwah.
