The Indian cricket board (BCCI) made the announcement on Wednesday night, saying he will take over from Ravi Shastri from the home series against New Zealand starting November 17.

TOI was the first to report about BCCI striking a deal with Dravidhours after president Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah had a meeting with him on the night of IPL final in Dubai on Oct 15.
