New Delhi: In a major boost to infrastructure in the capital, particularly in the sub-cities of Dwarka, Rohini and Narela, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on Tuesday allocated more than one-third of its annual budget outlay of Rs 7,933 crore for 2022-23 for development of roads, drainage, water supply, power lines, etc in these areas.
DDA also made significant allocations for projects like Urban Extension Road-II or the third Ring Road, Delhi Metro’s Phase-IV project and East Delhi Hub in Karkardooma.
The budget approved in the meeting chaired by LG Anil Baijal saw a nearly 18% increase from the previous fiscal’s outlay of Rs 6,738 crore. The receipts for this financial year have been projected at Rs 7,943 crore.
