SUNAK'S MIN WAGE BOOST

RISHI Sunak plans to push the minimum wage to £10 by the next General Election - finally matching Labour's pledge.

The Chancellor will announce an increase in the present £8.91 hourly rate in Wednesday's Budget.

Experts say he could set it at £9.50, after the brutal £20 Universal Credit cut for 3.2 million working families.

Borrowing is £135billion lower than predicted so Mr Sunak has more cash for the three-year spending review to be unveiled alongside his Budget.
