NCR+ Still Under GCQ Until June 30

Metro Manila and the province of Bulacan will remain under general community quarantine or GCQ “with some restrictions” for the rest of the month, President Duterte announced yesterday.

The nearby provinces of Cavite, Laguna and Rizal will be under GCQ with “heightened restrictions” while 19 other areas will be under regular GCQ.

It will be the first time since March that the National Capital Region, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, and Cavite or the NCR Plus will be under different classifications. The new risk groupings will be enforced from June 16 to June 30.

Areas to be under regular GCQ are Baguio City, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Abra and Benguet in the Cordillera Administrative Region; Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino in Cagayan Valley; Batangas and Quezon in CALABARZON; Iligan City in Northern Mindanao; Davao del Norte in Davao region; General Santos City, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, Cotabato and South Cotabato in SOCCSKSARGEN; and Lanao del Sur and Cotabato City in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
