TN students must learn other languages too: Guv

PAYING glowing tributes to Tamil language, Governor RN Ravi on Tuesday said school students of Tamil Nadu should learn other Indian languages too like students of other States.

"While it is important that Tamil language is popularised across the country, it is also important that our students learn other Indian languages like students of other States,” the Governor said in his Republic Day message.

"Depriving our students of knowledge of other Indian languages is unfair. Besides fostering brotherliness and better mutual appreciation, a linguistic intellectual and cultural cross-pollination will enrich all of us and also open opportunities for our harmonious growth,” he said.
