Govt employees to get 14% hike in DA

CHIEF Minister MK Stalin on Tuesday allocated ₹8,894 crore towards a hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for government employees and for the distribution of Pongal gift for Cand D category employees.
Govt employees to get 14% hike in DA

As per the chief minister's announcement, employees and pensioners eligible for DA will be getting a 14 per cent hike in the allowance, effective from January 1, 2022. This would cost the State Exchequer an additional 8,724 crore per annum.
