THE women’s singles final in the Syed Modi International BWF Super 300 tournament was a meeting between two shuttlers at opposite ends of a spectrum.
Sindhu clinches Syed Modi title

Established star PV Sindhu versus Malvika Bansod, a 20-year-old who’s touted to shine in the days to come.

Malvika was perhaps playing the biggest match of her career. Sindhu, on the other hand, was playing her nth match in Lucknow. The odds were heavily in favour of Sindhu and the 26-year-old expectedly bossed the contest to take the top prize, also ending her two-year title drought in the process.
