News of polls in eight phases didn’t please Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who alleged that this has been done to suit BJP. “With due respect to the election Commission, I want to say that questions are being raised why elections will be held in so many phases in Bengal? in other states, it is happening in one phase. If EC doesn’t provide justice to the people, where will the people go,” she said.
