With farm laws off agenda, Cong to focus on justice in Lakhimpur case and MSP

WITH farm laws off the three-point agenda of the party’s ongoing fortnight long agitation against the Centre, the Congress has decided to continue to press for justice for farmers killed in the Lakhimpur Kheri incident, raise demand for the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and agriculture reforms.

The party launched a sustained agitation programme ‘Jan Jagran Abhiyan’ November 14 to reach out to people on three issues, inflation and monetisation the other two. The committee under seniors leader Digvijay Singh initially shortlisted three issues with farm laws on the agenda.
