ANDHRA Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and discussed several issues pertaining to the state in the meeting.
During the hour-long meeting with the Prime Minister, Jagan raised the Polavaram project, Kadapa Steel Plant, rationality in coverage of beneficiaries under National Food Security Act, arrears from Telangana discoms to the state and other key issues. He was on a one-day visit to the national capital.
Jagan sought the Prime Minister’s intervention for the speedy approval of the revised cost estimates of ₹55,548.87 crore for the Polavaram Project. The revised cost estimates were given on February 11, 2019 as recommended by the Technical Advisory Committee.
