STAR HOPES RANGE WILL AID WELLBEING
WILLIAM TELFORD

HERE’S a good yarn: Plymouth diving star Tom Daley has launched a line of knitting kits.

The Olympian followed up his gold medal at the Tokyo Games, the award of an OBE and the broadcast of his alternative Christmas message by launching Made with Love By Tom Daley.

The star, who surprised Olympic viewers by purling poolside during the summer Games, is selling the kits with London-based LoveCrafts.com.

Mr Daley learnt to knit in 2020 and spoke of the benefits that just 10 minutes of daily knitting and crocheting had on his mental wellbeing.

He hopes the kits will help other people in the same way, giving them the chance to unwind and get rid of stress or anxiety.

Crafting supplies company LoveCrafts called the kits “the celebrity collection the nation has been waiting for”.
