COUNCIL TAX RELIEF PAYMENTS MADE IN WEST DEVON AND SOUTH HAMS
City residents wait as other councils pay up
THOUSANDS of residents in South Hams and West Devon have started to receive their Council Tax energy rebates - but Plymothians have yet to see the money in their accounts.
A total of 3,750 West Devon residents who pay their council tax by direct debit and are eligible for the Government's £150 Council Tax Energy Rebate have been paid last week, while over 9,000 households in the South Hams have had their £150 Council Tax Energy Rebate.
Those who are eligible and have different payment dates for their direct debit throughout April will receive similar payments soon. For those who do not pay their Council Tax by direct debit, an application form is available on council websites and they will begin processing these payments from May.
