Ten-foot menorah lit to mark Hanukkah

Plymouth has finally seen the Jewish menorah lit in the city for the first time this week.

The menorah went on a tour around Bristol before coming to Plymouth for Hanukkah, or Chanukah – the eight-day ‘festival of light’ held during the winter.

The festival started on November 28 and the Plymouth and Bristol events were organised by Chabad of Bristol as part of the ‘Light Up South West’ initiative.
