PLYMOUTH shoppers are being invited to donate to this year’s charity food collection at Tesco stores after it was launched by internet star LadBaby.
The social media star, who has topped the Christmas charts for three years running – a feat only previously achieved by The Beatles and the Spice Girls – is this year using his platform to raise awareness of poverty and to support food banks.
The collection takes place at larger Tesco stores from November 18-20, with shoppers urged to donate long-life food.
Their donations will help food banks in the Trussell Trust network provide emergency food parcels to people in crisis and help food redistribution charity FareShare provide food to frontline charities and community groups.
Tesco is playing its part by topping up all customer donations by 20%.
