COMES SECOND TO TENNIS STAR EMMA
MADELEINE BOURNE

OLYMPIC diver Tom Daley gave an emotional interview looking back on his sporting career in the build-up to the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards, in which he came runner-up.

Now a Freeman of the city of Plymouth, Daley was beaten to the overall award by tennis star Emma Raducanu, 19, who won the US Open this year, but was voted second overall in front of fellow Olympian, swimmer Adam Peaty.
