NEIGHBOURHOODS in Plymouth city centre have the lowest rate of Covid vaccine uptake in the region.
Government figures show around one in three people are yet to receive a single dose in the city centre, Barbican and Sutton Harbour.
Vaccine uptake in the neighbourhoods by the start of December was at 65.4 per cent – just under two-thirds of the population aged 12 and over.
That was the lowest rate in Devon and Cornwall, just ahead of three areas in Exeter.
The next lowest rate in Plymouth was in Mutley, at 71 per cent, followed by Cattedown and Prince Rock, Lipson, Devonport, Mount Wise and Morice town, and Millbay and Stonehouse, all at under 80 per cent.
