My coffe shop loyalty is finally repaid

LAST week on a particularly wet and dreary day I had a wonderful surprise. Some years ago on my way to my then job I began popping into a well-known coffee shop for a takeaway coffee.

I was given a points card with the usual promises of mouth watering offers but which just turned out to be a chance to get my details and bombard me with adverts and all of that malarkey!

Anyway after calculating what I would be spending over the course of a year if I continued with this sybaritic lifestyle I knocked it on the head only indulging myself on the odd shopping trip or when traveling at a station or an airport. Every time I would present my points card in the hope of a free coffee only to be told,

“Not enough points!

Its not as if I was after a large chocca, mocha, late, chai with hazelnut and avocado whip. Just a medium flat white. But no, Not enough points!
