A PLYMOUTH MP has questioned a Conservative politician over his attack on a “vocal minority” who want to see more equality across film and television.
Luke Pollard, MP for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport, seemed to mock Yorkshire MP Nick Fletcher, who made the connection between female fictional characters and real male crime statistics.
The Tory MP was speaking at a debate to mark International Men’s Day.
Shortly after footage of his speech was published, the video clip went viral, attracting the attention of Mr Pollard, who simply tweeted, “Seriously? I mean, seriously?”.
Mr Fletcher accused Parliament of having “left the struggles of many males out of the discussion”.
