A MAN who suffered from long Covid after contracting the virus in March 2020 is now giving back to the NHS with an epic virtual cycle ride.
John Fyffe, logistics manager at the Lighthouse Lab, a coronavirus laboratory in Plymouth, embarked on a 6,389-mile journey with his team to virtually cycle the distance from Plymouth to Wuhan, China.
After having experienced his fair share of serious ailments in the past few years, John then suffered from long Covid, which left him feeling unwell for months. He had multiple blood clots in a lung and an enlarged heart.
He feels he has a lot to thank the NHS for and is grateful he is still here to see the birth of his granddaughter and the marriage of one of his children.
