Since June 2021, Crouch, now 40, has been the director of football at ambitious National South side Dulwich Hamlet, the team that provide the opposition for Parkway in their eagerly-awaited FA Trophy third round clash at Bolitho Park. And it is a role that 'Crouchy' is taking very seriously.
Crouch's first involvement with Dulwich Hamlet came in the year 2000 when he was sent there on loan as part of a transfer deal that saw David McEwan move in the other direction. It was a move that gave him an invaluable insight into football at the other end of the spectrum, but one that forged a lasting bond with a non-league club that remains to this day.
Crouch insists that 'nothing has changed' at the club since he represented them over 20 years ago, except for the fact attendances have increased sharply. The Hamlet recently had to turn away around 500 spectators when their 3,000 ground capacity had been reached as interest in the club continues to grow.
