BUOYED by being crowned as the 2022 British champion, modern pentathlete Kerenza Bryson heads to Egypt later this week aiming to test herself on the international stage for the first time in over two years.
It has been a frustrating time for the 23-year-old, from Cornwood on the outskirts of Plymouth, with Covid stalling her sporting career somewhat after her incredible success as a junior when she became a ten-time national champion.
Bryson combined studying for a medical degree with a career in the Army and - along with chasing her sporting dreams the outbreak of Covid meant she had to take a step back from sporting competition for two years as she focused on her studies.
