STEVEN Schumacher has earned his stripes' and fully deserves his chance to be Plymouth Argyle manager, Sunderland boss Lee Johnson has declared.
Johnson saw his side beat the Pilgrims 2-1 at the Stadium of Light in League One action on Saturday in what was Schumacher's second game in charge.
The 37-year-old was appointed by Argyle after the sudden departure of Ryan Lowe, who took over at Preston North End and led them to a 2-1 home Championship win against Barnsley on Saturday.
Johnson was asked at the end of his post-match Press conference about what advice he would have for Schumacher.
He became a manager for the first time at the age of 31 and while still only 40 has gone on to take charge at Barnsley, Bristol City and now Sunderland.
