Daley shortlisted for BBC SPOTY award

PLYMOUTH Diver Tom Daley has been included on the shortlist for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year but Lewis Hamilton misses out.

It has been an incredible year for Daley, who started it by winning a first-ever gold medal with synchro partner Matty Lee at the FINA Diving World Cup nd gold again in the individual.

The pair took that form into the Olympic Games, where they again won gold, while Daley picked up the bronze medal in the 10m platform.

Daley and Lee also won gold at the European Championships in Budapest before Daley won silver in the individual event.
