PLYMOUTH Argyle are trying to sign 2021 League of Ireland top scorer Georgie Kelly, manager Steven Schumacher has confirmed.
Kelly, 25, has been linked with moves to fellow English clubs Bradford City and Rotherham United but, according to reports in Ireland, Argyle are ‘major players’ in the race to sign the free agent.
The 6ft 2in striker would give Argyle a physical presence that they currently do not have among their attacking options.
Kelly scored 21 goals in 31 starts and two substitute appearances during his one and only season with Bohemians, who finished fifth in the 2021 League of Ireland Premier Division.
