The award was presented by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi at a function held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on April 21, on the occasion of Civil Services Day.
Secretary (Agriculture), Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar received the award on behalf of the Department, which consists of a trophy, citation and a cash award of Rs 20 lakh for the implementation of the project. The Ladakh Greenhouse technology was developed by the DIHAR (DRDO) Leh and the technology was transferred to the Department of Agriculture UT Ladakh in 2019.
Thereafter, it was implemented by the Agriculture Department in Leh and Kargil Districts.
