Digital India 2.0 Launched With Focus On Skills, Jobs

The Union Cabinet has granted approval for the expansion of the Digital India project, allocating Rs 14,903 crore. The project aims to enhance the work initiated under the previous version. Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw conveyed that 5.25 lakh IT professionals will be reskilled and upskilled, along with 2.65 lakh individuals receiving IT training. Additionally, the extension entails the addition of nine supercomputers under the National Supercomputing Mission. Notably, 18 supercomputers have already been deployed under this initiative.
