A BRITISH Army veteran drafted to work at London’s Nightingale Hospital said working there was “as tough as Camp Bastion” in Afghanistan’s war zone.

Ex-Army medic Jamie Jones, 41, who left the forces in 2010 after 15 years, helped build the 80-ward emergency centre at the ExCeL Centre after being furloughed from his health adviser job.
